On November 28th, 2013，the Fourth Cross-Strait Academy and Industry Seminar of Satellite and IOT Application was held in the University of Macau, which was guided by National Remote Sensing Center of MOST, Economic and Information Commission of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau Affair Office of People’s Government of Guangdong Province, sponsored by University of Macau, Peking University Digital China Institute, Taiwan National Cheng Kung University and Electronic Business Technology Institute of Hong Kong University, hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong  and Macau Cooperation Council Information Technology Committee, South China Institute of Peking University Digital China Institute and Digital Guangdong Institute, co-organized by WIOT and Guangdong IOT Industry Alliance. On the opening ceremony of the Seminar, Kalvin Ma, Chairman of WIOT Technology Group Co., Ltd. and Mr. Zhao Wei, President of University of Macau signed IOT Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement.

It is said that Mr. Zhao Wei, President of the University of Macau is the chief scientist of National 973 IOT Project. He said that the two Parties will integrate resources of talent, technology, equipment and capital in the field of IOT respectively to form powerful alliance to integrate advantages so as to strengthen international competitiveness in IOT area of China. After in-depth cooperation in IOT platform, University of Macau and WIOT will establish relevant IOT platform technology research organizations in industrial park of WIOT to further develop universal IOT framework and platform technology jointly. The target is to realize horizontal interconnection among all IOT. The two Parties are intended to establish international IOT alliance jointly in the near future.
